The
Christmas Shoots 2007 |

Skeet, DTL and Sporting Clays
On December 8th 2007, we held our annual Skeet and DTL Xmas shoot for members.
Unlike Xmas 2006, with a thick smoke haze caused by the extensive bushfires, it was a bright and hot sunny day. The good turn up was pleasing with many shooters electing to shoot both Skeet and DTL (the lure of the hams?).
Each shooter was presented with a MGC pen with a bottle of "champers" won by those who shot a "flash" target randomly introduced into the traps for each event - a nice touch thanks to Brendan Pearson.
On the following Saturday, December 15th, we held the Sporting Clays Xmas shoot for ACTA and F&G members with a good attendance. With no repeat of the fine weather of the previous Saturday, it was wet and humid with a constant drizzle for most of the day. It was, however, an enjoyable day of shooting with a great mix of targets set around the ground including the developing treed area. Unfortunately, the wet weather and the ground layout made photography difficult so, regretably, very few were taken.
Many thanks to Jim Hutchinson for his unselfish effort taking most of the photos showing the activities, people and
events.
